KALBITOR Home Infusion ServicesSM
Introducing KALBITOR Home Infusion Services, a professional service that offers at-home treatment by an experienced infusion nurse for hereditary angioedema (HAE) patients, 16 years of age and older taking KALBITOR, to treat their acute HAE attacks. KALBITOR Home Infusion Services is not appropriate for treating laryngeal attacks.
KALBITOR is not indicated for self-administration and should only be given with appropriate medical support to treat serious allergic reactions and your HAE.
Services for patients eligible for KALBITOR Home Infusion Services include:
- Comprehensive financial support
- Initial consultation with an experienced infusion nurse, provided at no cost
- Home infusion available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- A local number to call in the event of an HAE attack; KALBITOR Home Infusion Services is not appropriate for treating laryngeal attacks
How to Sign Up for Home Administration:
KALBITOR is available only by prescription. KALBITOR Home Infusion Services is just one of several options for receiving KALBITOR, and it is not for everyone. KALBITOR Home Infusion Services are administered by a third party infusion services provider. Dyax Corp does not provide home infusion services.
The first step is to talk to your doctor to see if this option is right for you:
- Tell your doctor you are interested in having KALBITOR administered at your home
- If you and your doctor determine that KALBITOR Home Infusion Services is right for you:
- Your doctor will submit a Home Infusion Services Form
- After that, if approved, you may be eligible to meet with a home infusion nurse who will explain the process and answer any related questions you may have. There is no charge to you for this consultation visit
Medical Facility Location Assistance
KALBITOR Access® specialists make it as easy as possible for you to plan which medical facilities should stock your KALBITOR treatment for your acute attacks of HAE.
Your KALBITOR Access team will:
- Work with all members of your treatment team to create a plan that is right for you. The plan can be tailored to your needs, providing assistance with:
- Identifying and setting up treatment centers where you can receive treatment
- Direct shipment of KALBITOR to your home
They will work to coordinate shipment of KALBITOR to your preferred location to ensure that you are ready for your next acute HAE attack, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
